Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, has approved new strategic targets for the Dubai AI Campus to attract more than 1,000 artificial intelligence companies and create over 5,000 highly skilled jobs by 2030.

The announcement was made at the opening of the third edition of the Dubai AI Festival at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organised by the Dubai AI Campus in partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Office of the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, the campus achieved its original five-year targets two years ahead of schedule, having attracted over 500 specialised AI firms and AED 1 billion in investment since its launch in May 2024.

During the event, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed development plans for a new purpose-built Dubai AI Campus facility in the DIFC Zabeel District. DIFC Governor Essa Kazim stated that the expansion aims to bring together technology companies, specialised talent, capital, and infrastructure to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption and innovation across the emirate.

The two-day festival brought together more than 20,000 participants from over 100 countries under the theme 'Where Intelligence Meets Opportunity', featuring 150 speakers, 500 investors, and 200 exhibitors.
