The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation issued updated operational guidance outlining 12 distinct work permit categories available for expatriates, according to TUKO.co.ke.

The categories include standard full-time recruitment, temporary assignments, part-time labor, employment under family-sponsored residency, and permits tailored for Golden Visa holders.

Authorities stated that work permits must strictly align with the worker's job functions and established legal frameworks. Deploying personnel without proper permits or misusing work authorizations constitutes a major violation, subjecting non-compliant establishments to fines between Dh100,000 and Dh1 million per infraction.
