The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has called on taxable businesses subject to the e-Invoicing system to comply with statutory requirements and implementation timelines. Businesses that fail to adhere to mandated deadlines, including contracting accredited e-invoicing service providers, face an administrative penalty of AED 5,000 for each month or part of a month of delay.

According to the FTA, flexible implementation mechanisms and streamlined procedures have been established to assist companies ahead of the system's rollout.

To facilitate the transition, the authority is conducting virtual and in-person workshops across the emirates to demonstrate system connectivity and EmaraTax platform activation. Officials stated that the electronic invoicing controls are designed to modernize tax procedures, ensure compliance, and support national business reporting.
