BYD's ultra-luxury sub-brand Yangwang confirmed plans to unveil an executive sedan, codenamed internally as 'HU', in the United Arab Emirates. Hu Xiaoqing, general manager of Yangwang's sales division, announced the choice of the UAE as the debut destination on Weibo, noting that the brand would share further details about the venue, preparations, and selection rationale at a later time.

The announcement confirmed the UAE as the debut location but did not provide specific dates, event venues, or details regarding regional commercial launch and sales plans. The official model name, final retail pricing, and core technological specifications have also not yet been officially released by the automaker.

According to previous reports and teaser photos shared by Zheng Yu, assistant general manager of Yangwang, the camouflaged sedan features a boxy profile, a long hood, an extended wheelbase, and roof-mounted LiDAR. Chinese automotive outlet Auto Home reported that the vehicle is expected to measure around 5.5 meters in length, potentially feature coach doors, and carry an estimated price in China exceeding 2 million yuan ($296,440).

Yangwang's existing executive lineup includes the U7 sedan, available in plug-in hybrid and battery-electric versions, as well as the U8L Dingcang Edition flagship SUV launched in August 2026 at a starting price of 1,458,000 yuan. If earlier price estimates materialize, the 'HU' model will position the brand further into the ultra-luxury executive vehicle segment.
