UAE companies with annual revenues of Dh50 million or more are being urged to appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) by October 30 ahead of the mandatory B2B electronic invoicing rollout starting January 1, 2027. The requirement is part of the national e-invoicing roadmap established by the UAE Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).

The FTA recently addressed more than 700 representatives of businesses and accredited providers at an awareness meeting in Dubai, detailing regulatory requirements, provider selection, and onboarding through the EmaraTax platform. The authority noted that failure to complete technical and contractual arrangements could result in administrative penalties.

Under the phased implementation timetable, businesses generating annual revenues below Dh50 million face a later schedule. They are required to appoint an accredited provider by March 31, 2027, and implement e-invoicing from July 1, 2027. All onboarding steps and necessary technical procedures are managed through the EmaraTax system.

Accredited service provider Covoro reported that it is currently assisting over 1,000 large UAE enterprises with pre-rollout system upgrades and integration across enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The provider noted that preparations involve e-invoicing impact assessments, transaction validation, and gap analysis across financial systems.
