The Government of Ras Al Khaimah and Hong Kong-listed UBTECH Robotics Limited have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on humanoid robotics research, live field testing, and operational deployment in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

The signing ceremony took place in Shenzhen, China, and was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The agreement was formally executed by Ms. Alma Au Yeung, Greater China Affairs Advisor at the Office of the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and Ms. Claudia Chen, Overseas Sales Director of UBTECH Robotics.

The event marked the launch of a week-long official delegation visit across South China designed to strengthen bilateral engagement in technology, investment, innovation, and trade.

Under the terms of the MoU, UBTECH Robotics will send specialized engineering teams and humanoid robots directly to Ras Al Khaimah to launch operational demonstration projects. Testing will evaluate intelligent automation and robotic performance under everyday working conditions as well as challenging desert environments.

According to the announcement, initial trial applications will cover four primary use cases: automated industrial assembly, intelligent public-facing customer services, AI-assisted elderly care, and deployment within cultural spaces.
