Masdar City Free Zone Ranked Among Global Top Ten Free Zones in 2026

Masdar City Free Zone was ranked among the top 10 free zones globally at the fDi Global Free Zones of the Year Awards 2026, according to Executive Director Dr. Mohamed Al Breiki. The zone hosts more than 2,800 registered companies and offers one-day licensing alongside 100 percent foreign ownership. It also provides personal income tax exemptions and dual-licensing options for mainland Abu Dhabi operations.

Masdar City Free Zone has been ranked among the top 10 free zones globally at the fDi Global Free Zones of the Year Awards 2026, according to an announcement by Dr. Mohamed Al Breiki, Executive Director of Masdar City, reported by the Emirates News Agency.

The free zone currently hosts more than 2,800 registered companies operating under its dedicated business and legal framework.

Dr. Al Breiki outlined regulatory incentives provided by the zone, including commercial licensing issued within a single day and 100 percent foreign ownership allowances.

Additionally, the free zone offers complete exemptions from personal income tax and features a dual-licensing system that enables registered businesses to operate across mainland Abu Dhabi.
