Chinese technology enterprises are transitioning from preliminary market exploration to establishing scaled operations in Dubai, according to Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Speaking at the Dubai Business Forum – China held in Shenzhen, Al Gergawi noted that Chinese firms increasingly leverage the emirate as a platform to test and demonstrate products before launching them globally.
Al Gergawi identified rapid deployment cycles in the UAE as a critical factor drawing Chinese artificial intelligence developers to the country. The forum in Shenzhen convened 854 Chinese investors and business leaders alongside 112 senior delegates from Dubai's public and private sectors.
The commercial engagement occurs amid expanding economic ties between China and the United Arab Emirates, with bilateral trade reaching approximately $99 billion in 2025.
