The 1 Billion Followers Summit and the UAE National Media Authority, in collaboration with content creator and Dream Group founder Simon Squibb, have launched the '100 Dreams' initiative, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM). The programme is designed to establish 100 content businesses by providing funding, regulatory support, and mentorship to enable digital creators to launch companies in the UAE and expand internationally.

Under the initiative, 100 selected creators will each receive USD 10,000 in seed capital, representing an aggregate fund of USD 1 million. Alongside financial backing, participants will receive assistance with securing commercial trade licences, expert guidance, and business advisory services to scale their ventures.

Applications open on 20 November via the 100 Dreams platform, requiring applicants to submit video pitches focused on media, content creation, or the creator economy. The initiative will culminate at the fifth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai from 8 to 10 January 2027, where selected founders will be showcased and funding distribution will commence.

Following the summit, selected participants will enter a six-week business accelerator programme to strengthen business development and growth readiness. The initiative was announced at Creators HQ in Dubai in the presence of Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, and Saeed Al Eter, Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office and CEO of the summit.

Al Hamed stated that the UAE continues to establish an economic framework that provides creative ideas with the foundations required to become productive, scalable commercial enterprises that contribute to the country's economic diversification and competitiveness.
