Dubai's General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has clarified the four mandatory conditions that skilled workers must fulfill to secure a five-year green residency visa, according to Yen News.

Under the guidelines, candidates must hold an active UAE work permit and a valid employment contract in the country. The eligibility is restricted to employees falling under the first, second, or third occupational classification levels defined by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

Applicants are also required to hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree and draw a monthly salary of at least AED 15,000. Officials noted that both the educational credential and income threshold must be satisfied concurrently to obtain the employer-independent residency.
