ISPO Launches Sports Week Format Expanding to Dubai, China and United States

ISPO owner Raccoon Media Group has unveiled ISPO Sports Week, a week-long event series combining business-to-business trade fairs with consumer and community activations. A Dubai edition is scheduled for September 2027, while existing exhibitions in Shanghai and Beijing will transition into ISPO Sports Week Asia editions. Amsterdam will remain the flagship hub, with a US rollout scheduled for 2028.

Sports trade show organiser ISPO is transforming its exhibition model into a series of week-long events under the ISPO Sports Week banner, Fashion United reported. The format combines industry trade meetings, consumer engagement, and community sporting events, responding to shifts in how sports product demand is generated across athletes, content creators, clubs, and amateur communities.

According to ISPO owner Raccoon Media Group, a new regional edition will debut in Dubai in September 2027. The Dubai event's weekday programme will focus on commercial trade, including ISPO Source—which connects manufacturers and material suppliers with brands—and ISPO Discover, designed to help emerging labels secure retail and distribution partners. Over the weekend, the venue will open to the public through consumer formats including The Run Show, PadelXpo, and OutdoorXpo, enabling direct-to-consumer sales.

In China, ISPO's established trade shows in Shanghai and Beijing will each become an ISPO Sports Week Asia edition, with sporting and community components set to be integrated over time. Amsterdam will remain the organisation's primary flagship hub, while details regarding a planned 2028 United States edition will be announced next year.

Raccoon Media Group Chief Executive Officer Mike Seaman stated that brands frequently disperse budgets across independent trade fairs, product launches, and community activations. He noted that the new format aims to consolidate these investments into single week-long gatherings across key global markets.
