COOEC Secures QatarEnergy EPIC2 Contract for Maydan Mahzam Offshore Redevelopment

China Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (COOEC) has received an award notification from QatarEnergy for the MM EPIC2 project. The scope encompasses over 100 kilometers of subsea pipelines, cables, and umbilical lines for the Maydan Mahzam offshore redevelopment. The contract lifts COOEC's cumulative Middle East order intake past 50 billion yuan over three years.

China Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (COOEC) has received a notification of award from QatarEnergy for the Qatar MM EPIC2 project, iMarine reported.

The contract forms a key component of QatarEnergy's redevelopment program for the Maydan Mahzam offshore oil field. Under the contract, COOEC's scope covers engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) for more than 100 kilometers of subsea pipelines, cables, and umbilical lines.

The project win follows COOEC's earlier $4 billion Bul Hanine EPC contract. The award pushes the company's cumulative contract value in the Middle East past 50 billion yuan ($7.46 billion) over the past three years.
