  • UECN Delegation Discusses Energy Efficiency and Renewables Collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah Municipality

    Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, January 16, 2024 – In a significant step towards fostering sustainable development and promoting energy efficiency, a high-profile delegation from the UAE-China Chamber of Commerce (UECN) visited Ras Al Khaimah Municipality to explore avenues for collaboration with the Government of Ras Al Khaimah in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy.

    The UECN delegation, comprising Mr. Tianze Zhang, Ms. Weilin Ji, Ms. Jiayu Sun, and Ms. Heba Elfiky, held comprehensive discussions with Akshay Datar, Manager – Strategy and PMO at Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, focusing on potential partnerships and projects that could drive significant advancements in sustainable energy within the emirate.

    This visit underscores the mutual interest of both UECN and the Government of Ras Al Khaimah in leveraging innovative technologies and practices to enhance energy efficiency and adopt renewable energy sources. The discussions centered around key areas such as solar energy projects, energy conservation initiatives, and the development of green infrastructure, aligning with both entities’ commitment to environmental sustainability and economic diversification.

    Mr. Tianze Zhang, speaking on behalf of the UECN delegation, expressed optimism about the future of the partnership, stating, “Our visit today marks the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful collaboration between UECN and Ras Al Khaimah.
