The UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH), part of University College London, has received official regulatory approval from the UAE to establish a health-focused higher education hub in Dubai, the university announced.

Based in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), the new institution plans to welcome its first student cohort in September 2027. GBSH Dubai will deliver specialized postgraduate and executive degrees—including an Executive MBA Health and an MSc in Digital Health and Entrepreneurship—as well as executive training and research partnerships.

According to the institution, the expansion supports the 'We the UAE 2031' vision, the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, and Dubai's Education 33 (E33) strategy, which seeks to position Dubai among the world's top 10 student destinations with more than 70 higher education institutions by 2033.

The strategic expansion was announced at an industry gathering in DHCC attended by H.E. Aisha Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, and H.E. Malek Sultan Al Malek, Chairman of Dubai Healthcare City Authority. Founding Director Professor Nora Colton stated that healthcare transformation increasingly requires organizational performance, digital capabilities, and systemic leadership alongside clinical expertise.
