UAE National Guard Rescues 22 Crew After Oil Tanker Fire in Arabian Gulf

The UAE National Guard rescued 22 Asian crew members from an oil tanker after a fire broke out aboard the vessel in Arabian Gulf waters. Specialist coast guard teams responded to an emergency distress call, safely evacuated the crew, and administered first aid. Authorities reported that all 22 crew members are in stable condition.

The United Arab Emirates National Guard Command announced on Saturday that its Coast Guard Group rescued 22 crew members from an oil tanker that caught fire in the Arabian Gulf.

According to an official statement, the rescue operation commenced immediately after coast guard teams received a distress call from the vessel's crew reporting a fire on board. Specialist maritime teams were dispatched to locate the vessel and carry out the evacuation.

All 22 crew members, identified as Asian nationals, were safely brought to shore. They received required first aid before being handed over to competent authorities, with all reported to be in stable condition.

The UAE National Guard did not identify the name of the oil tanker or disclose the cause of the fire. The command stated that the swift response reflected the readiness and operational efficiency of its maritime personnel in protecting lives and maintaining security in international waters.
