The United Arab Emirates has issued a public warning against fraudulent investment and trading schemes that lure victims with promises of high returns before asking them to transfer money or cryptocurrency, The Filipino Times reported.

In an advisory published on its official X account, the UAE Ministry of Interior urged investors to verify whether an investment or trading platform is properly licensed before sending money or executing any financial transactions. The ministry cautioned that offers presented as attractive investment opportunities could be scams designed to steal funds from unsuspecting investors.

Authorities noted that legitimate investment platforms do not guarantee profits or pressure prospective investors into urgently transferring money or cryptocurrency. The ministry advised the public to remain especially cautious regarding offers promising unusually high returns or requiring immediate payments.

The advisory forms part of the UAE government's ongoing campaign against financial fraud, through which authorities encourage residents and investors to verify platforms and investment proposals before committing funds.
