Strata Manufacturing PJSC, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company, has secured Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) certification from the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) under CAR-145 regulations, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

The certification expands Strata's operational scope beyond component manufacturing into maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, facilitating its entry into the aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) segment. The certificate was formally presented to Strata Acting Chief Executive Officer Sara Abdulla Al Memari by the GCAA, in the presence of GCAA Assistant Director General of the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector Eng Aqeel Al Zarouni.

Aqeel Al Zarouni stated that the accreditation demonstrates the GCAA's commitment to advancing the UAE's aircraft maintenance ecosystem in line with international standards, enabling domestic firms to undertake maintenance within a regulatory framework focused on safety, quality, and compliance.

Sara Abdulla Al Memari noted that the CAR-145 approval creates new business opportunities in aircraft component maintenance. She added that the transition into maintenance and quality services builds on Strata's manufacturing track record, which has delivered more than 120,000 advanced-composite aerostructure components since operations began in 2010.
