UAE Firm Acquires Masood Textile Mills Shares from Two Chinese Companies

The Competition Commission of Pakistan approved the acquisition of shares in Masood Textile Mills Limited by UAE-based Velora Global Ventures-F.Z.C. from two Chinese companies on September 24, 2026. The transaction involves equity transfers from Shanghai Challenge Textile Company Limited and Zhejiang Xinao Industry Company Limited. Regulators concluded in a Phase-I assessment that the deal would not lessen market competition.

On September 24, 2026, the Competition Commission of Pakistan approved the acquisition of shareholding in Masood Textile Mills Limited by UAE-based Velora Global Ventures-F.Z.C. from two Chinese enterprises.

The cross-border transaction transfers equity from Shanghai Challenge Textile Company Limited and Zhejiang Xinao Industry Company Limited under a formal share purchase agreement.

Velora Global Ventures is registered with the Ajman Free Zone Authority in the UAE and operates in international wholesale textile trade and commercial brokerage.

According to the Competition Commission of Pakistan, a Phase-I competition assessment determined that the transaction would not lessen competition in the relevant market.
