The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) and the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs signed a service level agreement on November 4, 2026, during the ADIPEC 2026 exhibition.

The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, and Obaid Musallam Al Ameri, Acting Director-General of Abu Dhabi Customs.

Under the agreement, both entities will establish a digital integration and data exchange framework to accelerate approvals and customs clearances for imports of restricted hazardous petroleum materials. The framework also encompasses the monitoring and oversight of restricted import, export, and transit shipments.

According to officials cited by the Emirates News Agency, the initiative supports the UAE Government Zero Bureaucracy Programme by eliminating redundant administrative procedures while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
