Updated guidance published by Al Arabiya Group outlines the commercial framework and legal prerequisites for the UAE Remote Working Visa, which targets international professionals, executives, and business owners.

Under the framework, eligible candidates must demonstrate a minimum foreign-sourced monthly income of $3,500. This earnings requirement must be substantiated by certified bank statements covering six consecutive months.

The renewable one-year visa provides full UAE residency rights without the necessity of a local corporate sponsor. Holders obtain Emirates ID cards and gain access to residential leasing as well as corporate and personal banking facilities.

Remote workers covered by the visa qualify for 0% UAE personal income tax on overseas earnings and are permitted to request a Tax Residency Certificate under Cabinet Decision No. 85 of 2022. Additionally, primary visa holders are permitted to sponsor spouses, daughters of any age, and dependent sons up to the age of 25.
