Foreign countries and international organisations invested 3.433 billion manats (approximately $2.02 billion) in Azerbaijan's fixed capital during January–September 2026, according to figures released by Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee. This volume represents a 17.8% increase compared with the corresponding nine-month period in the previous year.
The State Statistical Committee identified the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye among the major foreign investor countries during the period. The official list of major investor nations also included China, Russia, the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Iran, Hungary, France, and India.
The recorded investments were directed into fixed capital, which encompasses expenditures on the construction, expansion, and modernisation of facilities, as well as machinery, equipment, and other long-term productive assets. The statistical authority noted that the 17.8% increase reflects expanded foreign financing directed into the country's productive base.
The State Statistical Committee did not publish individual financial allocations or specific percentage shares for each of the listed investor nations.
