The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and AJT Holding International Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Fuzhou, China, committing an additional $50 million investment to expand industrial infrastructure in Ras Al Khaimah. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, during a delegation visit to China.
The agreement was executed by RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad, Jihong Chairwoman Zhuang Hao, and BMJ Industries Group Chairman and Managing Director Ahmad Bkairat. The planned expansion will be carried out through AJT Printing and Packaging FZ-LLC, a joint venture established between Chinese packaging specialist Jihong and BMJ Industries.
Under Phase II of the development, AJT plans to add new production lines for water-based and UV inks, environment-friendly paper bags, and other packaging materials, alongside expanding its warehousing and logistics footprint. The investment provides additional industrial space to support long-term capacity requirements.
AJT's current operations within RAKEZ include integrated printing, packaging, and corrugated carton manufacturing facilities serving the food and beverage, retail, consumer goods, and logistics sectors. RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad stated that the project reflects confidence in the emirate's industrial ecosystem and reinforces economic partnerships between the UAE and China.
