Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, arrived at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport on Saturday, October 17, 2026, to begin an official working visit to China scheduled to run through October 23. He was received upon arrival by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to China, alongside Chinese officials, according to reports by ARN News Centre and WAM.
Leading a senior delegation composed of emirate officials and heads of government entities, Sheikh Saud's itinerary includes stops across several cities in Guangdong and Fujian provinces. The delegation is scheduled to meet government officials and Chinese corporate executives to explore trade, industrial, and investment partnerships.
Key agenda items include Sheikh Saud's participation in the Ras Al Khaimah–China Business Summit in Shenzhen, visits to Chinese companies and institutions, and the formal inauguration of Ras Al Khaimah’s representative office in Guangzhou. Following the Guangdong engagements, Sheikh Saud will travel to Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, to sign an agreement establishing bilateral relations with the province.
ARN News Centre reported that the mission builds upon Ras Al Khaimah's previous engagements with Chinese cities and provinces, including two visits conducted by Sheikh Saud to China in 2024.
