GCC Secretary-General Urges Energy, Trade, and Infrastructure Integration at New York Symposium

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi emphasized the need for deeper regional convergence across energy, trade, and digital transport corridors connecting the Gulf to Asian markets. Speaking at a symposium with the UNDP, he highlighted that member states produce roughly 16.6 million barrels of crude oil daily, representing 22.2 percent of global output. He underscored that long-term stability requires cross-border infrastructure, digital logistics, and institutional connectivity beyond oil exports.
