Binance Resumes Bitcoin and Ether Withdrawals Following $6.3 Billion Cyberattack
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance resumed withdrawals for bitcoin, ether, and selected stablecoins on Sunday after covering 95 per cent of the $6.3 billion stolen in a recent cyberattack. The platform used $6 billion of company funds to purchase replacement tokens and stated that less liquid assets will follow in phases. The FBI attributed the security breach to a North Korean state-sponsored cyber unit.
