Four Consortiums Including Chinese Contractors Bid for UAE $8 Billion Gas Plant
Four international consortiums, including Chinese engineering majors CPECC and Sinopec, are competing for the $8 billion EPC Package 1 tender for Abu Dhabi's Bab Gas Cap project. The planned facility in the Bab area is designed to process up to 1.85 billion cubic feet of additional raw gas daily. The technical bid deadline has been extended to November 16, 2026, while the development remains subject to a final investment decision.
