Organisers of ADIPEC 2026 confirmed that the upcoming Abu Dhabi energy conference will feature its largest-ever Asian participation, including 353 Asian companies. Major Chinese firms, including Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, CATL, and Envision Energy, are confirmed to participate.
ADIPEC 2026 announced record Asian engagement featuring 353 companies and six dedicated country pavilions, including China. Major Chinese state and private firms such as Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, CATL, and Envision Energy have confirmed their attendance in Abu Dhabi.
Four international consortiums, including Chinese engineering majors CPECC and Sinopec, are competing for the $8 billion EPC Package 1 tender for Abu Dhabi's Bab Gas Cap project. The planned facility in the Bab area is designed to process up to 1.85 billion cubic feet of additional raw gas daily. The technical bid deadline has been extended to November 16, 2026, while the development remains subject to a final investment decision.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has sold at least 30 million barrels of spot crude to Asian refiners and trading houses, trade sources reported. Chinese purchasers Unipec and Rongsheng Petrochemical secured up to 10 million barrels of Upper Zakum crude. The transactions covered Das, Upper Zakum, and Umm Lulu grades for June to August loading.
