The Ajman Free Zone has established a representative office in Shenzhen, China, to enhance investment cooperation and support commercial expansion. UAE Consul General H.E. Mariam Alshamsi and Free Zones Authority Director-General H.E. Ismail Al Naqi participated in the establishing ceremony.
The UAE Ambassador to China, Dr. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, attended the award ceremony for the Huawei ICT Competition Middle East 2020. During the ceremony, the ambassador congratulated winning participants and delivered an address on future bilateral cooperation. Discussions highlighted potential opportunities between the UAE and China in the information and communications technology sector.
The UAE Consul General in Guangzhou, Mariam Alshamsi, met with representatives from Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holding Group and Yingke Law Firm. The meeting focused on understanding the Chinese firms' internationalization strategies and identifying avenues to deepen cooperation. Both sides also discussed opportunities to expand commercial presence and operations within the UAE.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned in the strongest terms an attack on the LNG tanker Al Mayeda in the Arabian Gulf. Officials warned that the incident poses a grave threat to maritime navigation, regional stability, and global energy supplies. The UAE expressed solidarity with Qatar and called for the safeguarding of commercial vessels and international law.
