FREELANDER has announced the first international test drive for the FREELANDER 8 will occur at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The event builds on the brand's global launch held in Abu Dhabi on September 29, 2026. Global media, creators, and dealership partners will test the vehicle across off-road and paved track conditions.
Chery Group reaffirmed its commitment to the FREELANDER brand during a global launch event held at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi. The Chinese automaker showcased the left-hand drive FREELANDER 8 to senior Abu Dhabi government officials and commercial partners. The Middle East serves as the strategic starting point for the brand's international rollout.
