Etihad Rail Launches Abu Dhabi-Dubai Passenger Service and Adds Six Weekend Trains

Etihad Rail launched passenger rail services between Abu Dhabi and Dubai on September 30, operating ten regular daily services with a travel time of around 64 minutes. In response to high initial demand, the operator added six weekend services for October 3 and 4, providing over 2,000 additional seats. Ticketing on the service also features single QR code integration with Dubai's transport system.

Etihad Rail and AD Ports Launch Fujairah-Abu Dhabi Freight Service

Etihad Rail and AD Ports Group have launched a direct rail freight service linking Fujairah Terminals with the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi. The dedicated train operates three times weekly across roughly 200 km, allowing customers to access customs clearance and cargo release on site at ICAD. The link is designed to lower emissions, reduce road congestion, and streamline movement of goods to Abu Dhabi markets.
