UAE Bans Ciprofloxacin in Veterinary Medicine Effective November 1, 2026
The Emirates Drug Establishment has announced a prohibition on ciprofloxacin in the veterinary sector starting November 1, 2026, to combat antimicrobial resistance. The ban affects nine veterinary medicinal products and active raw materials, requiring suppliers to halt imports, sales, and manufacturing. Businesses must withdraw market stocks before the deadline to re-export or dispose of remaining inventory.
