Chinese Export Pivot Toward UAE and Middle East Intensifies Regional Market Competition
A report by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) reveals that Chinese exporters are accelerating diversification away from the United States, targeting alternative destinations including the UAE. China's exports to the Middle East grew 9.7% from 2024 to 2025 as its share of exports to the U.S. fell. This redirection of trade routes is increasing competitive pressure on regional suppliers operating in shared markets.
