China National Petroleum Company Abu Dhabi President Ma Wenjie stated that the next phase of UAE-China energy ties is expanding beyond capital trade into joint technical capability and digital innovation. The UAE and Kuwait have increased naphtha exports to Asian petrochemical producers using ship-to-ship transfer operations conducted outside the Strait of Hormuz. Between August and September, ADNOC and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation exported approximately 1.6 million metric tons of naphtha, more than doubling shipments from the March-April period. The surge reflects growing utilization of alternative loading and offshore transshipment hubs including Fujairah and waters off Oman and India.
An analysis by ORF Middle East highlights that SMEs represent 94 to 95 percent of UAE businesses and generate over 60 percent of non-oil GDP. The paper argues that achieving UAE Net-Zero by 2050 requires simplified emissions reporting, lower compliance costs, and enhanced transition finance for smaller firms. Decarbonising SMEs is increasingly vital as major domestic corporations tackle Scope 3 supply-chain emissions.

State producer Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is expanding conduit links to the Gulf of Oman port of Fujairah. The initiative builds on an existing pipeline to secure alternative export channels outside the regional maritime chokepoint.
