Dubai Chambers to Host Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen

Dubai Chambers has announced it will host the Dubai Business Forum – China in Shenzhen on October 14, 2026. The bilateral summit aims to expand cross-border investment and trade collaboration in sectors including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and the digital economy. Confirmed attendees include major Chinese enterprises such as Baidu, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and China Merchants Capital.

Chinese Firms Broaden Presence in UAE Across Financial, Logistics, and Technology Sectors

Chinese financial institutions and corporations expanded their commercial footprints across the United Arab Emirates in early October 2026. China Securities obtained DIFC regulatory approvals, while JD.com's infrastructure unit committed to building a major logistics complex in Abu Dhabi. Cumulative Chinese direct investment in the UAE climbed to $12.47 billion following a $2.6 billion inflow.

Kuwait Aviation Authority Denies Resumption of Transit Operations at Airport

Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation stated that transit operations at Kuwait International Airport remain suspended until further notice. The regulator refuted claims of an agreement with Jazeera Airways or other airlines to restart transit flights. Regulatory action has been initiated against Jazeera Airways for offering transit bookings without authorization.
