Dubai-based sanitaryware and building materials company Milano by Danube reported a 250 percent year-on-year increase in international sales, driven by global market expansion and direct shipments from its manufacturing and warehousing operations in China. Building on this growth, the brand has set a target of achieving $25 million in quarterly international business.
The company's 'Global Direct' model allows international clients to place orders through Dubai while dispatching cargo directly from company facilities in China. Formally introduced at the April 2026 Canton Fair following three years of preliminary direct shipments, the framework has contributed to a 60 percent expansion in the company's international client base.
Adoption of the direct fulfillment route accelerated in 2026 as distributors adapted to regional shipping uncertainty and disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz. Bypassing intermediary routing through Dubai has enabled international distributors to cut transit overhead while maintaining product access.
According to Danube Group Vice Chairman Anis Sajan, inventory availability in China allows the brand to dispatch consolidated orders within 15 days. The setup enables distributors to combine multiple product lines—such as sanitaryware, water heaters, and electrical switches—into single mixed containers while targeting further market penetration across Africa, Russia, and Central Asia.
