Dubai-headquartered Mashreq Bank priced its inaugural CNH 1 billion ($149.3 million) three-year senior unsecured Dim Sum bond at a fixed coupon of 2.50%, Gulf Daily News reported. The transaction represents the lender's first public issuance in the offshore Chinese renminbi market.
The debt offering drew demand from regional and global investors, with order books peaking at CNH 2.3 billion and achieving an oversubscription rate exceeding two times.
Pricing for the bond followed a targeted virtual investor roadshow held on October 13. According to bank leadership, the issuance expands capital market links among the UAE, China, and Hong Kong within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
