GT LINES, the container shipping division of UAE-based Gulftainer Group, has formed new partnerships with several Chinese shipping companies across two maritime services connecting China and the UAE, the carrier announced.
Under the upgraded Khorfakkan China Express Service (KCX 1), GT LINES will deploy two vessels through a Vessel Sharing Agreement alongside three Chinese shipping lines: Zhong Gu, Sea Legend, and Ningbo Ocean. The combined five-vessel consortium will operate a port rotation covering Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, and Khorfakkan, with scheduled transit times of 22 days from Central China and 18 days from South China to Khorfakkan.
In addition, GT LINES is partnering with Chinese carrier CULines on its CGX Service, designated as KCX 5. This second route covers a rotation comprising Qingdao, Ningbo, Shekou, Nansha, Port Klang, and Khorfakkan.
According to the announcement, all operational cooperation arrangements across both services are scheduled to commence in early November 2026 to enhance supply chain continuity and maritime connectivity between Asia and the Middle East.
