EFG Hermes UAE LLC has introduced new market-making and liquidity provision services on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), according to an announcement reported by Gulf News.
Operating under the DFM Market Maker programme, the service is designed to maintain continuous two-sided quotations for DFM-listed securities. Gulf News reported that the arrangement seeks to deepen order books, narrow bid-ask spreads, and assist price discovery, particularly in securities with lower trading volumes.
Khalifa Rabba, Chief Operating Officer of DFM, stated that the entry of EFG Hermes supports institutional liquidity provision, improves execution quality, and reinforces Dubai's position as a capital markets hub while expanding access for regional and global investors.
Raymond Wasef, Head of Market Making and Liquidity Provision at EFG Hermes, said that increased market liquidity is intended to encourage broader investor participation. EFG Hermes UAE noted that the new offering complements its existing brokerage, investment banking, research, and capital markets operations in the Emirates.
