Time Out Dubai reported that 12 significant developments are scheduled for Dubai during the winter 2026/2027 season, covering legal updates, aviation services, retail expansions, and tourism destinations.
Under updated anti-commercial fraud regulations introduced by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, commercial markets and warehouses must remove adulterated, spoiled, or counterfeit goods within 24 hours of receiving an official notification. In addition, suppliers are required to notify points of sale within 24 hours and publicly announce product withdrawals within 48 hours, under established inspection, seizure, and administrative penalty procedures.
In the aviation sector, Emirates is introducing electrically powered Premium Economy seats featuring full-height adjustable privacy screens and wireless charging on its Airbus A350 aircraft starting in October. Meanwhile, flydubai is rolling out Starlink satellite Wi-Fi across its fleet through late 2027, and several international carriers—including British Airways, KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, and Singapore Airlines—are scheduled to resume Dubai flights before year-end.
Retail and lifestyle additions include the reopening of The Square at a new 350,000-square-foot permanent site in Nad Al Sheba Gardens on November 23, phased additions at Mall of the Emirates, the reopening of Global Village on October 14, and the opening of Emaar South Golf Club near Al Maktoum International Airport.
