The Dubai Jewellery Group (DJG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gold Association of Guangdong Province during the Dubai Business Forum – China, organised by Dubai Chambers in Shenzhen.
The agreement was signed by DJG Chairman Tawhid Abdullah and Ye Yongguang, Vice President of the Gold Association of Guangdong Province. The MoU is designed to foster commercial collaboration and enhance market access across Dubai, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao.
According to the agreement, the partnership covers the entire jewellery value chain. It includes the supply of raw materials such as bullion, precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones, alongside jewellery manufacturing, processing, distribution, and trade facilitation.
The initiative also seeks to leverage Guangdong’s manufacturing and processing capacity to support Dubai's jewellery trade and back Chinese member companies in global promotional activities. Established in 1996, DJG represents approximately 600 companies spanning trading, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail in the gold and jewellery sector.
