Dubai Customs processed 21.15 million customs declarations in the first half of 2026, according to a press release reported by Al Bawaba. The agency stated that its integrated customs system leverages automation, data analytics, and risk management to support trade flow and supply chain resilience.
According to the released figures, 98% of customs declarations were processed automatically, reducing manual handling and enabling personnel to focus on transactions requiring closer verification. Dubai Customs also fulfilled 67,174 service requests during H1 2026, representing a 15.1% increase from 58,349 requests recorded in the same period of the prior year.
The data indicated an expanding commercial base, with 7,871 new companies registering with Dubai Customs since the beginning of 2026. Over the same period, 9,365 declarants and 271 customs brokers submitted their declarations for the first time.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, noted that the department seeks to provide clear procedures and connected services that align with trader requirements and support the targets of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
