Dubai Chambers has entered into two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with business organisations based in China's Greater Bay Area to boost bilateral trade and investment partnerships, according to reports from UAE media. The signings took place on the sidelines of the Dubai Business Forum – China held in Shenzhen.
The first agreement was signed by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, alongside Zhao Huazhong, Executive Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Importers and Exporters Association. The second MoU was concluded between Salem Al Shamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, and Diana Dai, CEO of the UAE chapter of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance.
According to Dubai Chambers, the partnerships are intended to establish institutional frameworks for regular business engagement, support direct commercial links between companies in Dubai and southern China, and facilitate reciprocal market access. The agreements also target shared knowledge exchange and exploratory matchmaking across priority sectors.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah stated that the agreements form part of Dubai Chambers' strategy to broaden its network of international partnerships in priority markets. He noted that institutional agreements serve as a foundation for private-sector collaboration and help companies identify viable commercial and investment opportunities.
