Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has approved the operational strategy of the Dubai Longevity Authority (DLA), according to Gulf News.

The initiative targets an economic contribution of more than Dh35 billion to Dubai's economy over the next ten years, projecting an annual growth rate of 31 per cent.

The DLA was established under Dubai Law No. 17 of 2026 to regulate advanced wellness, clinical trials, and life sciences.

The approved framework introduces business-licensing regulations intended to attract specialized foreign investment, international manufacturing facilities, and research centres. Sheikh Hamdan stated that the strategy seeks to position Dubai as a leading global centre for biotechnology and healthcare innovation.
