Dubai-based multinational port operator DP World has announced the launch of the China Africa Link, a new weekly maritime shipping service. The line is managed by DP World's Shipping Solutions division and is scheduled to begin operations in late November 2026.

The service rotation directly links major Chinese industrial export gateways Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nansha with Port Klang, Dar es Salaam, Maputo, and Singapore. The new shipping line is designed to handle Chinese shipments of machinery, vehicles, and electronics.

According to Ganesh Raj, Global COO of DP World Marine Services, the service forms part of the group's Connected Trade Corridors strategy. The route integrates with DP World's $165 million container terminal expansion in Maputo and a $500 million port investment in Tanzania.
