Chinese investment banks and securities firms are accelerating expansion into key international financial hubs, with the Gulf region serving as a primary target, according to the South China Morning Post.

Beijing-based China Securities established a regional office within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The office aims to capture client business across equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, and asset management.

The development follows CICC's earlier establishment of a presence in the DIFC to support capital flows between China and the Gulf. Chinese policymakers have encouraged domestic brokerages to build competitive global institutions to support cross-border corporate financing.
