Chinese cloud computing provider Alibaba Cloud has announced plans to expand and upgrade its data center capacity across key international hubs, including the United Arab Emirates. The strategic roadmap was presented during the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, addressing enterprise demand for scalable cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence workloads.
In addition to the UAE expansion, the development program covers new cloud regions and infrastructure in Germany, France, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Following this global rollout, Alibaba Cloud's international operational footprint will expand to 31 regions and 107 availability zones worldwide.
The cloud provider also introduced new enterprise software suites engineered to facilitate agent-native AI implementations for enterprises operating between China and the Gulf region.
