Alibaba Cloud Expands Data Center Capacity in the UAE and International Markets

Alibaba Cloud has announced plans to expand its data center capacity in international hubs, including the United Arab Emirates. Unveiled at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, the initiative aims to support rising enterprise demand for artificial intelligence workloads. The expansion will extend the company's global footprint to 31 regions and 107 availability zones.

Chinese cloud computing provider Alibaba Cloud has unveiled plans to upgrade and expand its data center capacity across key international markets, including the United Arab Emirates, according to Telecoms.

The strategic roadmap was announced during the 2026 Apsara Conference held in Hangzhou. In addition to the UAE expansion, the infrastructure program includes the construction of new cloud facilities in Germany, France, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Following the international rollout, Alibaba Cloud's global footprint will encompass 31 regions and 107 availability zones worldwide.

The company stated that the infrastructure upgrades are intended to meet accelerating enterprise demand for artificial intelligence workloads and scalable cloud systems. Alibaba Cloud also introduced enterprise software suites engineered to facilitate agent-native AI deployments for companies operating between China and the Gulf region.
