Aldar, Abu Dhabi's largest listed developer, and Sharjah-based developer Arada have agreed to collaborate on new residential and mixed-use projects on Yas Island and at Seih Sdeirah in Abu Dhabi, representing a combined value of approximately Dh15 billion ($4 billion), The National reported. The transactions mark Arada's official entry into the Abu Dhabi real estate market as the company expands across the United Arab Emirates.
At Seih Sdeirah, located on the Abu Dhabi–Dubai border, the two companies will form a masterplan joint venture to build a mixed-use community covering up to 1.5 million square metres of land. The development is planned to feature villas, townhouses, retail facilities, and recreational amenities. Arada will lead development and construction management, while Aldar and Arada will jointly manage the community's branding and sales.
On Yas Island, Arada has acquired three residential development plots from Aldar, including two canal-facing sites, with a combined plot area exceeding 27,500 square metres. Talal Al Dhiyebi, group chief executive of Aldar, stated that the opportunities on Yas Island and at Seih Sdeirah establish a foundation for collaboration with potential to expand across sectors and geographies in the UAE.
