Abu Dhabi Launches Inaugural Healthcare and Life Sciences Mission to China

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has launched its first dedicated healthcare and life sciences mission to China from September 21 to 30, 2026. The delegation includes representatives from PureHealth, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, ADIO, and MBZUAI visiting Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing. Discussions center on medical robotics, artificial intelligence, precision oncology, and cross-border clinical trials.

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has initiated its first dedicated healthcare and life sciences mission to China, running from September 21 to 30, 2026, according to the UAE-China Chamber of Commerce.

The Emirati delegation includes representatives from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, PureHealth, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). The delegation is holding meetings across Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing with Chinese biotechnology firms, universities, and regulatory authorities.

Commercial discussions focus on artificial intelligence, medical robotics, precision oncology, and clinical drug trials. The mission aims to establish joint clinical trials and accelerate the introduction of advanced Chinese therapeutics into the UAE.
