Asian Lenders Anchor $2.5 Billion Syndicated Loan for Qatar National Bank

Qatar National Bank has secured a $2.5 billion, five-year syndicated loan facility following strong demand from international and regional lenders. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and other multinational institutions served as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) has secured a $2.5 billion syndicated loan facility with a five-year tenor, according to Briefs Finance. Strong demand from more than 20 international and regional institutions pushed the total borrowing amount up from an initial target of $2 billion.

Major Asian and multinational institutions, including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), DBS Bank, HSBC, Mizuho Bank, and Standard Chartered, acted as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners on the transaction.

The facility carries an interest margin of 75 basis points over the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR). QNB plans to deploy the proceeds to refinance a previous $2 billion, three-year loan facility that was established in October 2023.
